Our transition to Kansas City was…quick.
We had a 3 weeks notice. OMG. Talk about a rush.
So Trent’s sister and her husband let us live in their basement for the month while we look for a house (shoutout to Natalie & Ryan who are currently sitting 5 feet away)!
You guys, this is not your ordinary unfinished basement. It’s borderline nicer than our house in Topeka. If I dropped a Cheeto on the floor, I would probably pick it up and still eat it. You could put your baby on it, it’s so clean. The ceilings are high and we have our own side entrance. We are basically living in a basement-loft, or what we like to call our “Boft”.
View from the “entrance”! Gracie Belle sitting there looking innocent, but actually being a complete terror since day 1.
Living Room! We spend approximately zero time here, but it sure looks cute. We invade Natalie and Ryan’s space upstairs every day instead.
Bedroom! Aka a storage room with some sheets on it! Thank you to Trent for the morning stretch!
Closet! We included a rug to define some space!
Our pile of stuff!
Gracie, claiming her couch. Even when it’s in pieces.
Our bathroom is upstairs!
So now you have a crystal clear image of what it actually looks like for us to be living in an unfinished basement. It’s ok to be jealous. Not to mention we get to play cars with our 2 year old nephew every day.
Thanks for visiting the Boft!
